Wildlife flourishes at River Mill, home to blue heron, kingfisher, hawks, woodpeckers, ducks, beaver and deer. Spend a tranquil morning on the riverbank, or watch the sun set over Falls Lake.
Our sports enthusiasts can wade in for fly fishing, or paddle the Neuse from their own backyard. Sailors and power boaters launch minutes away at the Falls Lake State Recreation Center. The 38,000 acre park also offers hiking trails, fishing, swimming and camping.

Take a stroll through the town of Wake Forest, with its historic downtown area, quaint shops and beautiful Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary campus [formerly Wake Forest University]. For the necessities of modern life, a variety of shopping, restaurants and services are nearby.
Need more? The PGA's Tournament Players Club at Wakefield Plantation is just to our north. Neighbor Paddle Creek offers trips, classes as well as canoe and kayak sales and rentals.
Students can walk to Wakefield Elementary, Middle, and High School, on Wake Forest's new tri-school campus. Area private schools include Ravenscroft School, Montessori School of Raleigh, and the Neuse Baptist Christian School.
